As the academic year of 2025 draws to a close, we are filled with gratitude for the journey. We also keep our dear students in our prayers as they prepare for their final examinations and assessments.
At IISSA, we believe in balancing effort with faith (Tawakkal). We encourage our students to prepare with diligence, and then to place their trust in Allah (SWT).
In that spirit, we share a powerful prayer for facing any challenge, narrated by Anas ibn Malik (RA), who said that the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) taught this dua:
اللَّهُمَّ لاَ سَهْلَ إِلاَّ مَا جَعَلْتَهُ سَهْلاً، وَأَنْتَ تَجْعَلُ الْحَزْنَ إِذَا شِئْتَ سَهْلاً
Transliteration: Allāhumma lā sahla illā mā ja’altahu sahlā, wa anta taj’alul-ḥazna idhā shi’ta sahlā.
English Translation: "O Allah, there is no ease except what You make easy, and You make the difficult, if You wish, easy." (Source: Sahih Ibn Hibban)
Terjemahan Bahasa Melayu: “Ya Allah, tiada kemudahan melainkan apa yang Engkau jadikan mudah, dan Engkau menjadikan kesukaran itu, jika Engkau kehendaki, menjadi mudah.”
A Moment for Reflection
This beautiful prayer is not just for examinations; it is a profound reminder for all of life's challenges.
It teaches us that while we must put in our best effort (study, prepare, practice), the ultimate outcome and the feeling of "ease" in our hearts is a blessing granted only by Allah (SWT).
To our students, parents, and teachers: As you face your tasks this week, remember to do your best, and then turn to Him. May He make your paths smooth, your minds clear, and your efforts blessed with success.
Ameen.
