On the night of July 31, 2024, the Panasonic Stadium was abuzz with excitement as our school hosted its much-anticipated Sports Day, a thrilling event filled with competition, camaraderie, and a strong display of school spirit. The event, held from 8 PM to 11 PM, brought together around 500 students from both primary and secondary levels, along with enthusiastic audiences of parents, alumni, and community members.
The evening kicked off with a vibrant march pass, where students from various houses showcased their unity and discipline, followed by a powerful battlecry that echoed through the stadium, igniting a sense of pride and determination among all participants. The Chief of MyCare, our esteemed guest, graced the event, adding a layer of significance to the occasion.
The competition was fierce, with students participating in a range of track events including the 100m dash, 4x100m relay, 400m, and the grueling 4x200m relay. Each event was a testament to the hard work and dedication of our young athletes, who trained tirelessly to give their best performances.
One of the unique aspects of this year’s Sports Day was its timing. Held in the evening, the event took on a special ambiance under the stadium lights. Before the competitions began, all attendees gathered on the field to perform the Maghrib prayer together, creating a moment of unity and reflection that set a positive tone for the night.
The highlight of the night was the victory of the Green House (Saad Abi Waqas), whose athletes dominated the track events, earning them the coveted title of Sports Day champions. The joy and excitement were palpable as they celebrated their well-deserved win.
Sports Day 2024 was not just about competition; it was a celebration of our school’s spirit, with chants, banners, and an overwhelming sense of community among students, staff, and spectators. The event concluded with an award ceremony, where the top athletes and teams were recognized for their outstanding achievements.
As the night came to a close, the smiles and cheers from students and spectators alike were a testament to the success of the event. Sports Day 2024 was a night to remember, filled with unforgettable moments and a renewed sense of pride in our school.
